Bachelorette Weekend & Girls Getaway Outfit Inspiration

Who doesn’t love a weekend away with the girls? Getting dressed up, drinking, dancing (and maybe a dive bar or two) are sometimes just what the doctor ordered. So, here is some bachelorette weekend & girls getaway outfit inspiration for you, should such an outing pop up on your calendar.

I have provided affiliate links to items in this post and may earn a small commission if you follow the links I provide, at no additional cost to you. Just a way for me to make a few extra bucks to maintain my wine-drinking habit (oh, and this blog). Thank you in advance for your support. My name is Danielle and I like wine.

Oh, and remember–if you click one of my affiliate links and want to make sure I get credit, check out from that link. If you leave the item in your cart and come back later, you’ll still get the awesome item but I won’t get any commission. On the flip side, if you add other items to your cart after clicking my link, I might get credit for those too–so thank you!

Bachelorette & Girls Weekend Outfit Inspiration

Below you will find outfits for six scenarios, with options for warmer and cooler weather. Consider wearing these looks for any or all of the following:

  • laid-back appetizers and cocktails on a patio
  • a swanky booth at a club with bottle service
  • well-drinks and karaoke at a local dive-bar
  • spa treatments and wine-tasting
  • boozy brunch and shopping

I created these looks based on a bachelorette weekend. There are some looks specific to the “bride-to-be,” in addition to providing inspo for all the gal pals in the “ladies looks” from some of my favorite stores: H&M, Lulu’s, Old Navy, Forever 21, Express and more.

The bride-to-be looks feature a lot of white, and that my friends is because I firmly believe you should get to wear white as often as you want during your time as a fiance. However, the white pieces can easily be switched out for something in a color or print to work for anyone–bride or otherwise.

Even if you are just planning a weekend away with the girls (or a romantic getaway with your guy) you should find these tips and tricks useful.

Just Add a Jacket

When packing for any getaway, I usually bring at least two jackets (wearing one on the plane or in the car) to give versatility and practicality (if it gets chilly) to any look I pack.

Add a jacket, change the look. Want to make a dress feel less “dressed-up”? Throw on a denim jacket. Take a more casual look to the next level with a black blazer. And a leather jacket will give any frilly, feminine frock a little more edge.

I demonstrated this trick in a recent styling session I did for Instagram–shown here. Keep jacket options in mind as you scroll through the inspiration looks and as you contemplate what pieces to pack.

And let’s not forget about shoes and accessories.

A floral dress can work in the fall/winter when paired with boots or spring/summer with strappy sandals. Rhinestones and pearls give your outfit a classic feel, whereas statement pieces or chunky gold accessories create a more street-style vibe.

Okay, let’s start packing!

Look One | Leather Ladies Night

Mixing leather and lace (or other feminine details) screams subtly sexy. You could easily swap out the leather for basic black denim or the white tops for black (or something more bold). Just don’t forget the bling . . . and a little animal print never hurt anyone.

Look Two | Denim for Drinks

Denim is easily dressed up or down–which makes it perfect for a weekend getaway. A bodysuit or tank make your look more “daytime” but throw on a black blazer or pair with a pretty flowy top and heels to dance the night away in your denim.

Look Three | Friends in Floral

Floral is always in-season when you are having fun with girlfriends. It works for afternoon outings, into casual evening escapades. As with most things, the styling makes the look. Knee boots give a floral dress an effortless and cool feel, but a sexy heel takes the look long into the night. A floral top with jeans is great for lunch, but by switching the pant to leather or the shoe to something strappy, you are ready to party.

Look Four | Wine-Tasting-Wife-to-Be

A knit dress is really the go-to item for any getaway–girls or guys included. So. Many. Styling. Options. And easy to pack! Be it sleeveless or not, ribbed or smooth, all you need is a jacket and the right accessories to wear it from day to night . . . or hell all weekend if you want. And you can never go wrong with a flowy maxi dress. It is quintessentially lady, but throw on a leather jacket and it will get a little naughty.

Look Five | Woman in White

Wearing white might be a bit of a risk for a fun night out ( . . . you probably want to avoid red wine) but I say, go big or go home. And definitely do something unexpected like wearing white pants or a jumpsuit instead of a dress or rocking a statement shoe and jewelry with an unexpected neckline.

Look Six | Babes in Black

If you have a theme night that requires everyone but the bride to wear black, the key to creating a unique look is detail. Choose something with varied texture and embellishment like sequins, lace, bold sleeves, leather, ruffles, etc. These elements will stand-out in photos and you won’t feel like just another girl in a little black dress.

Happy Travels

I hope you have enjoyed this styling post as much as I have enjoyed putting it together. Makes me long for the days when “getting away” didn’t “get in the way”.

Ahhhhhh . . . to be young . . . with no children . . . and a great job . . . and my own bank account . . .

Kidding.

I still have my own bank account . . .

And, this is turning into a pretty great job . . . even if it doesn’t pay the bills, but it sure fills my cup.

Cheers,
